Knives and Weaponry Room

จัดแสดงเครื่องมือเครื่องใช้ตั้งแต่สมัยก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ที่ทำขึ้นจากวัสดุธรรมชาติโดยเฉพาะประเภทหิน ซึ่งถูกนำมาดัดแปลงทำเป็นเครื่องมือในการสับ ตัด และเครื่องดนตรี ที่สำคัญได้แก่ ขวานหินกะเทาะ ขวานหินขัด ขวานหินยาว เป็นต้น และเมื่อมนุษย์รู้จักนำโลหะโดยเฉพาะทองแดงและเหล็ก มาใช้ทำเป็นเครื่องมือเครื่องใช้ซึ่งมีขั้นตอนในการผลิตที่ซับซ้อนมากยิ่งขึ้น เช่น ใบหอก หัวธนู เป็นต้น
 

Displaying tools of prehistoric period that were made from natural materials especially stones what were used and adapted in the form of chopping and cutting tools as well as music instrument. Major tools were cracked-stone axe, polished-stone axe, long-stone axe, etc. Later after human made use of metal especially copper and steel to be tools with more complex process such as spear blade and arrow blade.

พื้นที่ส่วนนี้เป็นส่วนที่จัดแสดงตัวอย่างของเครื่องมือเครื่องใช้และอาวุธประเภทต่างๆ ที่สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงการดำรงชีวิต การพิทักษ์ทรัพย์สิน ชีวิต และอำนาจ รวมถึงสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงบทบาทของอาวุธที่มีอิทธิพลต่อความเชื่อของผู้ใช้หรือผู้เป็นเจ้าของ
 
This area displays tools and variety of weapons that signified to the way of surviving and protecting lives and properties as well as the influence of weapons over the belief of users or owners. 


จัดแสดงเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับกริชด้านต่างๆ เช่น ส่วนประกอบของกริช ส่วนประกอบของใบกริช ตัวอย่างกริชแต่ละส่วน รวมถึงขั้นตอนการทำกริช โดยมีการจำลองเครื่องมือเครื่องใช้ในการทำกริชด้วย และยังมีตัวอย่างกริชชิ้นพิเศษที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงรูปแบบของกริชในสกุลช่างต่างๆ นอกจากแสดงเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับกริชแล้ว ยังมีตัวอย่างมีดและอาวุธที่มีลักษณะเด่นพิเศษด้วย เช่น มีดตอก มีดเคียงหางไก่ พร้า จะโหนง หอกพะตง มีดบาแดะ เป็นต้น

Exhibiting story and knowledge of Kris such as components of Kris, samples of each component of Kris including process of building up a Kris. The demonstration process and tools of making a Kris are also provided. Special pieces of Kris from different family of craftsmen are also displayed. Moreover, knives and other similar weapons such as southern dagger, chicken-tail knife, etc.
